For this production, I was also in charge of weekly build calls where I would teach 14-18 year old, high school students proper shop safety, shop mathematics, how to safely operate power tools, and read build drawings.
The main part of the set were four wagons that crew members moved into various configuraations to indicate different scenes. The top platform is a nominal 2x6 platform resting on four square truss legs made from 3/4" plywood. Two wagons were a two level structure while the other wagons each had a stair unit with a smaller landing platform. Each wagon is made from welded, 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch steel tube.
